Synopsis: Syrian soldier Husam has 24 hours of leave to visit his family. A lump is stuck in his throat as he sits with his mother at breakfast: he wants to say what he really feels, that he is afraid of death and wants to escape military service. But his mother clings to an image of him as a hero fighting for the honour of his country.
